"Joshua Bonas did such an amazing job at our wedding, we couldn’t be happier! We first heard Josh play at En Fuego and knew after listening to a few live songs, that we wanted him for our entire wedding. Josh was so easy/accommodating while planning the wedding/choosing different songs. He was able to bring a relaxed feeling to our wedding (which my husband wanted) but also added a beautiful/elegant touch (which I wanted). He played during the prelude and processions during the ceremony, and the acoustic guitar (Canon in D), as I walked down the aisle. All while it was 105 degrees outside (hottest day on record for October)! He also played the guitar during our cocktail, and we received so many compliments of how good he was. One of my most favorite memories of our wedding was when Josh sang/played our first dance live- Making Memories of Us by Keith Urban. Josh kept the dance floor packed the entire time! All I wanted was a DJ that knew how to keep the party going and Josh nailed it! We highly recommend Josh, he is extremely talented and so professional. Joshua Bonas provides the perfect soundtrack to your wedding with flawless acoustic interpretations of your favorite songs, then DJ'ing a rocking dance party during your reception.
One of the first things you will notice when you meet Josh is his passion – passion for music, for your event, for people. Josh is in love with life, and he expresses that most succinctly through his music. He has incredible technical skill on the guitar, a huge repertoire of live music from across genres and decades, and Josh puts his heart-melting original spin on everything he sings. He was raised in Nashville where his mom is a well-known studio singer who earned a Country Music Billboard and Top 40 hit with her original band Nightstreets while performing as backup singer and opening act for international country music stars George Jones and Tammy Wynette; Josh has music in his blood. Josh self-released his first album "Castaway", available on iTunes, in 2011. In 2015 he graduated from the prestigious UCSD computer music program with a BA in Interdisciplinary Computing Arts, marrying the art of music with the science of computers. This program spawned a collaboration between Josh and electronic producer/DJ Jake Schneider; ShowingULove is a cutting edge mix of Josh's acoustic music set to live DJ production of house/techno/dace beats. Adding to Josh's love of teaching music, he earned a Master's in Education and a Teaching Credential in English in 2018. When Josh is not performing at a wedding or working on his music you can find him spending time with his daughter and wife, in the line-up catching some waves, or teaching English and literature to high school students.
