Testimonials

"One of the best recommendations from our wedding planner for our Spring wedding. Johnny Tarr was one of the highlights of our outdoor wedding in Temecula, HIGHLY recommend him!!! He knocked it out of the park with a unique live acoustic cocktail hour (guitar and sax) and ceremony, we got so many compliments from our guests!!! Walking down the aisle to something specially crafted for the two of us will stay with me forever.

Johnny was a perfect fit for us... fun, flexible, friendly and professional all at the same time. He made sure he delivered exactly what we wanted on our special day. Very easy to coordinate with before and during our event. We were able to sample his performance style at various gigs he played around San Diego.

Great live music, DJing, and MC skills all around. Made sure everything kept on schedule with appropriate announcements... even getting all the single ladies out from the photo booth and onto the dance floor for the bouquet toss!"

"Our guests are still talking about how amazing the music was from the ceremony to the last song of the reception. People who didn’t even attend have been commenting on how they heard our music was the best at any wedding they had ever heard. My husband and I are both in the military and our group of friends attends a lot of weddings so that is saying a lot. I came down the aisle to an acoustic version of “All of Me”; the cocktail hour led to some live Coldplay and Bruno Mars and we entered the ballroom to an emceed “Turn Down for What” to start the party off right. I get chills thinking about how amazing the music was and how talented Jonny is. Not to mention he is an absolute gentlemen and super fun, and Jonny’s accent is awesome. I would recommend [SLP] to any couple getting married hands down every single time. Thank you so much Jonny and Michael! You guys were the game changers of our big day."

Jonny Tarr

It’s hard to know where to start to describe SLP’s Jonny Tarr. Is it his amazing one-man band sound (have you ever seen someone loop guitar, vocals, beatbox, flute, and sax in the same song)? Is it that smooth Welsh accent that stops wedding guests in their tracks to listen to his announcements? A graduate of Sir Paul McCartney’s Liverpool Conservatory of Music, and after successfully touring Europe with his band, Jonny moved to the States in 2012 to fall in love – with our amazing town (San Diego), with his now-wife, Aleicia, and with continuously pushing the envelope on what he can do during his performances.
